It is our mission to “nurture one another and all whose lives we touch.” In the care we extend to one another, we experience the love of God through one another. We offer many opportunities to get together, to get to know one another, build relationships, “catch up” and care for one another.
Coffee Fellowship: Following worship each Sunday through the year, we have an opportunity to welcome one another in the Gathering Place. For coffee drinkers, brewed pots of regular and decaf (Fair Trade) coffee is provided.
Events: A variety of fun events are held during the year, including our annual Picnic in June, a luncheon to honor our veterans in November, and an Advent Workshop at the end of the year. Outings to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms hockey team, and the Iron Pigs baseball team are scheduled each year.
~Sunday brunches at a local restaurant and potluck dinners at member’s houses provide additional opportunities for fellowship~
The Pastoral Care Team sponsors two “Quiet Hour” Communion services each year (Spring and Fall) to allow home-bound members to share a brief worship service in the grand sanctuary of St. John’s. The team also coordinates “In Touch,” a monthly ministry of our congregation to send notes and cards to home-bound members.
Home-bound members are also remembered through our “Goody Bag” and “Cookie Caper” ministries, which provide home delivered treats in the Spring and Fall.
