The stories of the people of God point to a God who generously gives… and gives… and keeps on giving. From the very beginning of creation, God gives light, order, living creatures, and human life. Martin Luther gave us a list of the gifts of God we receive as “our daily bread”: among these gifts are food, drink, property, family, good leaders, good weather, health, peace, and much, much more.
God entrusts these gifts to our care-taking while we have life. The word we use for this care-taking is “stewardship”. Our stewardship includes our support of the mission God has given us, as together we work to pray, grow and serve.
We support not only the ministries of our own congregation, but also the work of local partners like Lutheran Congregational Services and the Lehigh County Conference of Churches, as well as ministries of the regional, national and global Lutheran Church.
