Children's Options Minimize

Sunday Church School

Classes for all ages are held Sunday, during the school year (no summer classes), at 9:15 a.m.  Classes are available for three year-olds through the ninth grade.  The Senior High Class is for young people in grades ten through twelve.  

The students in preschool through 6th grade are also given musical instruction during part of the Sunday School Hour.  Periodically they share their vocal talents with the entire congregation at a Worship service.

Vacation Bible School

We offer a one week summer program during June from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. for children of our members and children who live in the neighborhood.

Holy Communion Preparation

This program is available for children who are at least 10 years of age.  Pastor Langkamer meets for three sessions each spring with eligible children.  Parents are also required to participate in this program with their children.

Catechetics

Catechetical Classes are held for children who are at least 12 Years of age.  Classes are held on two Tuesday evenings each month from 7 to 8 p.m., October through May.  Classes for this two-year program are taught by the two pastors.  At the conclusion of two years of study, youth who have completed the course are invited to participate in the Rite of Confirmation.  Confirmation is celebrated each spring on Pentecost Sunday.
